The University of Nottingham Malaysia was established in September 2000 in Malaysia. Malaysia is the first country to have a campus branch outside the UK for this University in Britain. Malaysia has also won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2001 and the Queen’s Award for Industry (International Trade) 2006. The university has been recruiting students starting in 2002.
